Beat Tough Stains - Blood and Grass

Blood stains

Blood stains can be tricky, but don’t stress! The key is to act fast and keep it cool:

  • Rinse with Cold Water: As soon as you notice the stain, rinse it under cold running water. Hot water can actually set the stain, so keep it cold.

  • Baking Soda Paste: Mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste. Apply it to the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then, rinse and wash as usual.

This simple combo works wonders and is gentle on your clothes.

Grass Stains

Whether it’s from a weekend braai or a day at the park, grass stains can be stubborn.

  • Pre-treat with Liquid Detergent: Apply a bit of liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain. Rub it in gently and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing.

  • Vinegar & Baking Soda Solution: For tougher stains, make a paste using vinegar and baking soda. Apply it to the stain, let it fizz and work its magic for 15-20 minutes, then wash as usual.
